Hand Picked Hotels appointed Evans Jones Ltd to undertake Access Audits of 19 of their hotels, located across England, Scotland and the Channel Islands.
- Location:
- England, Scotland, Chanel Islands
- Service:
- Access Audits
Overview:
The brief was to assess the hotels and leisure facilities against Part 3 of the Equality Act 2010 to identify where the hotels may not meet best practice standards and recommend ways to overcome these issues or barriers either through physical adjustive works or through management policies and procedures
Challenges:
Most of Hand Picked Hotels estate consists of Listed country houses which pose constraints on the physical adjustments and alterations that can be undertaken to the fabric of these historic buildings.
Our audits were completed by a small team of Consultant Members of the National Register of Access Consultants and Chartered Building Surveyors.
Our team have vast experience in auditing Listed and historic buildings as well as project management experience in the construction and refurbishment of hotels.
Evans Jones was able to provide suggested solutions which are both reasonable and practical to help Hand Picked Hotels to deliver a good standard of accessibility to all guests and visitors.
Results:
Our bespoke reports assign a priority rating and cost banding to each issue allowing the client to plan and prioritise the adjustive works.
Our experience in the delivery of bulk audit programmes across the UK meant the audits were issued within the agreed timescales with consistent results.
